Gene doping: Not much has changed in the last 4 years

There has been a plethora of recent articles on the Beijing Olympiad ranging from "Let the Games Be Doped" and "The Amazing Adventures of Gene Doping Man" to "Doping Scandals Cast Shadow on Athletic Success" to "Drugs of Olympic Desperation: A Survey of Banned Substances".

In 2005, Geneforum conducted a public forum at Portland State University on the topic of gene doping in 2005. As part of that event, Oregon Public Broadcasting recorded the presentations by the three presenters, an internationally-known researcher: Ted Friedmann; a silver medalist cyclist: Mari Holden, and legal scholar and bioethicist: Max Mehlman. Even though their words are almost four years old, neither the issues nor the policies have changed.

What do you think?
