Stem cells and President Bush

I don't happen to like President Bush, or many of the things he's doing, but his stance on the Iraq situation and stem cells caught my attention again this morning as I reviewed the comics section of my local newspaper, the Ogden Standard Examiner. The strip referred to people not being able to sleep at night because of the deaths in Iraq and showed a view of the White House with someone inside saying, "I keep hearing those stem cells."

The comic strip obviously referred to the relative importance of active, healthy human lives in the persons of our military and others currently in Iraq vs. embryonic stem cells, implying that Bush values stem cells more than adult humans.

Beyond those comments, I guess I have nothing more to say.
