Theodore Friedmann is one of the world’s leading authorities on human gene therapy. His Science publication "Gene Therapy for Human Genetic Disease?" is one of the seminal papers on the subject of the future of gene therapy and its potential to make permanent, heritable, genetic modification of human cells.
