maculardegeneration

have heard stem cell can cure macular degeneration?

stem cells and macular degeneration

Thanks for the question. I'll check into this and post a response. My mother has the condition, so I am also interested.

studies still in early stages for macular degeneration treatment

I had some time to check out stem cell treatments for macular degeneration and have found that the experiments at the stem cell center at Harvard are prehaps most advanced. Not long ago they were able to use human stem cells to stimulate retinal cell formation in mice. Clinical trials in humans are recruiting patients now, I believe.

To learn more, google macular degeneration stem cells and you will find sites that describe some of what is happening. I'll write more when I can.

I've heard the same, in

I've heard the same, in general i think stem cell can do a lot better then regular drug rehab for some diseases/conditions that are treated with regular prescriptions.
